Lets get it started

Hey fellas. Welcome back to my weekly update. This time very very late. I have never been that lazy and late with my weekly updates. Maybe it is because of the fact that New Zealand is not as exciting and suprising as usual. It is still a day to day life. Usually I am working, coming back home, doing some stuff and going to bed. From time to time going to some adventures. At the moment, it is just about saving money, trying to keep going and to embrace the change. And it feels like every week is full of new change. Even more people are leaving work. There is a lot of change going on at the moment. And there is quite a lot of pressure on me since I do not want to loose that job. I need this job to stay in New Zealand while I am working on my residency for the second time. Recently, I have withdrawn my application to not have a rejected application in my records. And it felt like I just burned 5000 dollars. No refund. No chance to put the application on hold. Congratulations, you just wasted 5000 dollrs, thanks for trying.

Tony Malony

Last Thursday, the time has come. The last evening with my very good friend Tony and his friend Timi. The last evening before he was about to leave New Zealand, to travel to Australia. And it reminded me that we had quite a lot of different adventures and ups and downs together. Up the mountains. Swimming in ice cold water. Having heaps of drinks in different pubs. Heaps of billard games. Table tennis. Game nights. And heaps of pictures and memories. And this guy literally saved my life just before my birthday. If you are looking for a generous, honest, loyal, awesome guy and friend, Tony is your man. He is one of a kind. He is real. And sometimes he is sooo german. But anyway, part of change and friendship is that sometimes people are leaving. And I hope that we will see again for even more adventures and more breakfast sessions in the middle of the night after my car broke down. Tony Malony, I hope you have the time of your life Bro!

What else to say?

Well, it is already Wednesday evening, I am sitting in front of my fireplace, together with my new housemates. I have an amazing view to the lake, just stunning if the sun is setting. I had a great run to Mt Iron last evening. It felt so amazing. Even though my toe was bleeding and now my running show change its color from blue green to red haha. More colors , more fun? From tommorow on there is a film festival in Wanaka, WAO film festival, with a couple of different outdoor, sustainability and building movies. And I will watch some of those with a good friend of mine. Sammy is a landscape designer and settled down in Hawea a couple of months ago. I will keep you posted next week again, hopefully not too late 🙂
And last but not least – the Camino paperback will be published soon, latest 1st of June, but I reckon it might be earlier. I will keep you posted as well 🙂
